This project is the assembly and remodeling of two adjacent row houses in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. Although the structures are aesthetically unpleasant, which occupies a special place. From the front, overlooking Alta Plaza Park is a charming hotel two blocks at the top of Pacific Heights and back, has a panoramic view over the bay of San Francisco. This configuration has led us to focus on the design of the interiors retain their transparency from front to back, so when one is in the structure, there are two views simultaneously. Admission / public level is on the second floor, allowing garages and bedrooms occupy the ground floor, where the view is the backyard. The third level is reserved for private use by the customer – and your office suite.
This setting has caused us to focus the design so that the interior volumes will maintain their transparency from front to back, so when one is in the structure you will be aware of both views simultaneously. The entry/public level is on the second floor, enabling the garages and guest rooms to occupy the ground floor where the view is of the back yard. The third level is reserved for the Client’s private use – their offices and the Master Bedroom suite
